I’ve spent a decade taking big ideas and distilling them into shareable, accessible content that meets people where they’re at.
From working through ideas to find an interesting nugget, to deep-diving through research and policy documents to understand details and nuance, to interviewing real people to add humanity to an issue, to organizing video and photo shoots with videographers to get the best visuals, to writing scripts and working with politicians and journalists to find the right words and tone, to working with graphic designers and editors to tell the most compelling visual story, to deciding how to tell the right story on multiple platforms — I know the ins and outs of how to tell a story with impact.
Here’s some of the work I’ve produced.
Calgary Municipal Election: Nathaniel Schmidt for Ward 8 Campaign – September 2025
Should parts of Calgary’s 17th Avenue be closed to vehicles during the summer? It’s one of the city’s busiest streets — and the Beltline Neighbourhoods Association says it’s not functioning the way it should. So, they’re asking Calgarians if they should make parts of 17th Ave. S.W. pedestrian-friendly in the summer, starting in 2025. #Calgary#17thAve
As Danielle Smith faces a gut-check by UCP members on her leadership, the CBC’s Jason Markusoff takes you through the bell curve of leadership reviews of years gone by. #daniellesmith#politics#alberta
The UCP government plans to let auto insurers raise premiums substantially more than the 3.7 percent rate cap imposed this year. This is part of major insurance reforms that promise customers savings in future years by removing personal injury lawsuits and legal claims from the system. #alberta#autoinsurance
